Committed to excellence

In 2018, SFIVET recertified itself under the Excellence Model established by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). This is a major step towards achieving accreditation as a Swiss university of teacher education (UTE).

An important step towards EFQM certification was to replace the old information management system with the new quality and process management tool ‘QM-Pilot’, which allows all accreditation processes to be mapped and documented in relation to SFIVET’s process roadmap.

The Services Division’s staff supported the core divisions by completing implementation of Moodle as a standard learning platform at SFIVET and by handling technical implementation of the stakeholder relations management system. The division’s staff also implemented measures to streamline the process of preparing quarterly financial statements.

Finally, the Services Division completed the ‘Evaluation Services’ project with help from SFIVET’s internal Evaluation Unit. The division now has the tools needed to assess and continuously improve the quality of its own services.
