Digital agility

Pink rocket launches into the sky

A core task of VET professionals both now and in the future is to optimally prepare learners for their mobility in the digital world. At the same time, digitalisation offers VET professionals the opportunity to create new, diversified and hands-on learning opportunities and focus even more on the acquisition of professional competences. However, the digital transformation also requires VET professionals to change their perception of roles and embrace a new teaching and learning culture.

SFIVET has therefore designed the new CAS course in ‘Digital Learning’ to address these topics and challenges. The first course was launched in autumn 2019, and there is a great demand for more courses to be held.

In the basic module, participants gain a general understanding of different aspects of digital learning, e.g. blended learning, e-portfolios, learning management systems and bring your own device (BYOD). A digital coach helps them clarify individual questions. In the specialisation module, participants can choose subjects from a range of electives that match their everyday working life and interests. These courses cover topics such as digital strategic planning, gamification, collaborative learning and e-moderation. Participants are guaranteed to be very digitally agile by the time they finish this CAS course.
