The delegation was welcomed at the HEFP Renens by Mergim Jahiu who introduced them to the Swiss vocational education and training (VET) system. He then accompanied them to visit a vocational guidance centre (BIZ Bern) and EMCH, a training company. The next day, the delegation and Mergim Jahiu went to the SERI for a meeting with State Secretary Martina Hirayama. After a visit to the Jordanian Embassy, the study visit was concluded in a vocational school in Bern. The enriching exchanges with the different hosts allowed the delegation to better understand the key elements of the Swiss VET system. The identification of possible ways to develop the reforms underway in Jordan was also outlined.

The Minister expressed his thanks to SFUVET for organising the study visit and to Mergim Jahiu for his expertise. More regular exchanges are planned in the future.
