«Nursing qualifications» – a new milestone reached
The Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training (SFUVET) has devised six trend scenarios for the nursing field. Each scenario briefly describes the new or changing professional requirements for comprehensive nursing and caregiving that have emerged from a number of recent developments.
In each case, the trend scenarios provide information about future developments, present illustrative situations and describe skills that will be required in all nursing professions. Starting in April 2022, these scenarios will be reviewed in various workshops aimed at determining professional competences for each professional activity and deciding where changes are needed. Healthcare providers have been asked to send representatives of the given occupations and professions to the workshops. A total of 10 workshops will be held to cover all levels of education and training.
