“Quality VET in Switzerland” course successfully conducted
As part of the Swiss International VET Academy, the course "Quality VET in Switzerland - how and why it works." was held for the first time in parallel with the SwissSkills 2022.
The aim of this course was to provide a broad overview of the functioning of Swiss VET.
Through on-site visits – a company, a vocational school, an inter-company course and a vocational guidance office – participants gained an insight into how the various VET partners in Switzerland work. A full day at SwissSkills also gave them an insight into the diversity and quality of apprenticeships. In addition to the visits, theoretical block courses took place at SFUVET where the system was presented by our experts, allowing participants to reflect on their own systems. The concept of situated VET has also been introduced and discussed.
Whether as a vocational school director or as a scientist, the participants reflected on the particularities of the Swiss system and on the possibility of implementing some of its components in their respective systems. The course also served as an excellent platform for networking among participants from all over the world.
