North Macedonia’s Deputy Prime Minister visits SFIVET

H. E. Kocho Angjushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, visited SFIVET’s main campus in Zollikofen with a large delegation to discuss the Swiss VPET-system and the role of SFIVET.

SFIVET Board Chairman Philippe Gnaegi and acting SFIVET Director Jean-Pierre Perdrizat welcomed Deputy Prime Minister for economic affairs Kocho Angjushev, the Minister of education and science, Arbër Ademi, and the Minister of labour and social policy, Mila Carovska. The delegation discussed the core elements, the opportunities and challenges of vocational education and training in both countries and the current collaboration between North Macedonia and Switzerland.

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) funds a 10-year project to support the Government of Macedonia in reforming the country’s vocational skills development (VSD) system. Helvetas leads the project’s implementation, supported by SFIVET regarding VET expertise.
