The Swiss Observatory for Vocational Education and Training OBS SFUVET and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW have merged the datasets of two multi-year longitudinal studies. This was done to better identify the impact that various influencing factors have on the career patterns of health professionals at various levels of training. This project is part of a joint effort by Swiss higher institutions specialised in healthcare to develop the competence network health workforce (CNHW). The results show ways of improving staff retention.
