Evaluation of the new core syllabus introduced at the école supérieure en éducation de l’enfance (esede)

In September 2022, the école supérieure en éducation de l’enfance (esede) introduced a new core syllabus that includes a new pedagogical approach. SFUVET's Evaluation Unit is currently helping esede to evaluate the new pedagogical approach being introduced in the period 2022-2025.

In 2021, the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) approved the new core syllabus for professional education institutions that provide training in the field of "child development work". The new core syllabus will be introduced at the école supérieure en éducation de l’enfance (esede) in September 2022 and will include a new pedagogical approach. 'The training is based on an active pedagogical approach and a perception of knowledge as a collection of different resources for action.'

Method
  • Online questionnaires sent to students, both those who completed the previous training programme and those currently enrolled in the new one
  • Workshop with students enrolled in the new training programme
  • Workshop with teachers in the new training programme
  • Telephone survey to obtain feedback from host companies that provide internships and employed positions to students
