During the several-day qualification series “Identifying the object of evaluation, information acquisition and use of results in evaluation” for the Lower Saxony State Institute for Quality Improvement in School (NLQ), training was provided for evaluation advisers, school quality assessors and school inspectors.

In their future roles, the evaluation advisers will provide schools with specific advice on internal evaluations tailored to their curricular requirements as well as professional support with defining topics, during the course of and with the implementation of their evaluation tasks and, if necessary, with the analysis of results.

The qualification series took place online, focused on the evaluation process according to Balzer & Beywl (2018) and was essentially based on the principles of the continuing training of SFUVET’s Evaluation Unit. The programme also included in-depth workshops on specific topics.
