SFIVET accepted as “UNEVOC Centre”

Zollikofen, 12.06.2019 – At the beginning of June, SFUVET was accepted by UNESCO-UNEVOC, the International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training of UNESCO, as a member of the international vocational education and training network, becoming a “UNEVOC Centre”.

This recognition underlines the role of SFUVET in international vocational training cooperation. UNESCO-UNEVOC, with its headquarters in Bonn, coordinates initiatives around the globe to promote vocational training and education. Dr. Shyamal Majumdar (photo), Head of UNESCO-UNEVOC, had emphasized the importance of VET for international cohesion at the SFUVET jubilee event CREATIVET in 2017.
