Are you interested in an apprenticeship as a commercial employee, IT specialist or mediamatics specialist with a Federal VET Diploma? We publish these positions on our website in the Jobs section. We can also arrange trial days at SFUVET during the recruitment process or on request.

Commercial employee apprenticeship with Federal VET Diploma

The commercial apprenticeship lasts for three years. You will work in various areas of training during this period. This means you will gain an insight into a wide range of activities and tasks, such as in the host company, reception, finance or the HR department of our university. This will help you to find out where your interest lie during your apprenticeship and to determine the path you would like to pursue after completing your training.

IT specialist apprenticeship with Federal VET Diploma

On the IT specialist apprenticeship with Federal VET Diploma, you will be employed by us from the outset. However, you will spend the first year of the apprenticeship completing the basic year at the Berufsbildungscenter Bbc VET centre in Bern. Here you’ll acquire extensive practical knowledge which you will then apply from the second year of your apprenticeship at SFUVET. Your activities will mainly involve providing support for our employees. You will be responsible for ensuring that everyone can work well which you’ll achieve thanks to your IT skills and customer-friendly attitude. You will work as part of a team that is responsible for IT at our campuses in Zollikofen, Lausanne and Lugano. When the whole team meets, most people speak English or their mother tongue, giving you the opportunity to develop your foreign language skills. In total, the apprenticeship takes four years to complete.

Mediamatics specialist apprenticeship with Federal VET Diploma

As a mediamatics specialist with a Federal VET Diploma you’ll firstly complete the basic years (depending on the type of school) and then you’ll apply to us. The schools will help you to look for and find a suitable apprenticeship. At SFUVET, you’ll be a member of the central communications department. You’ll tackle exciting tasks, either independently or as part of a team. For example, you’ll manage SFUVET’s internal and external communications channels, design and produce various products for print and digital media and help with the organisation and holding of events. You’ll maintain close contact with internal and external customers, implement small and large-scale projects in which you’ll be involved from planning stage to completion. The communications team is distributed across all three campuses which means you’ll regularly hear German, French and Italian, giving you the opportunity to improve your foreign language skills too. In total, the apprenticeship takes four years to complete.

Commercial employee apprenticeship combined with sport or music

If you love playing sport or have a passion for music, then we’ve got the perfect apprenticeship for you. You must firstly provide evidence of your level of performance or talent. We can then offer you the extended four-year commercial employee apprenticeship. The commercial employee apprenticeship is spread over four years to give you enough time for sport or music during your training.
