The Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (SFIVET) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH have signed a cooperation agreement in the area of VET. Effective cooperation between SFIVET and GIZ will take place through GIZ‘s Akademie für internationale Zusammenarbeit (AIZ), which offers training courses at the UNEVOC Centre in Magdeburg. This cooperation agreement is intended to enable available skills and resources on both sides to be combined in a mutually beneficial manner and used to strengthen international cooperation in the area of VET. In particular, emphasis will be placed on the provision of training to a wide range of target groups and players involved in VET.

Both SFIVET and GIZ’s AIZ are recognised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) as official international centres for vocational education and training.
