Sustainability in vocational education and training will be considered and discussed at the symposium from the perspective of the three collaborative partners within the Swiss vocational education and training sector, the three learning locations typically found in Swiss dual-track VET programmes (i.e. host company, vocational school and branch training centres) as well as from the perspective of the academic and research community. The aim of the symposium is to reinforce a common understanding of sustainability issues in vocational education and training and to share information about practical approaches used to encourage sustainability in vocational education and training.
SFUVET will be celebrating its 50th anniversary at this symposium. A culminating point of the event will be the awarding of Enterprize 2022 where an innovative vocational education and training project will receive recognition directly from Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER).
The event is scheduled to take place live at the Kursaal Bern with simultaneous interpreting services in German, French and Italian. Depending on the corona situation, however, the event may end up being held only online. In such case, participation fees paid in advance will be refunded.
