Conceptual framework ‘Advice - Encouragment – Guidance’ of the Canton of Zurich

SFIVET’s Evaluation Unit has just completed its evaluation of the general ‘consulting – support – guidance’ concept developed for vocational schools and schools in the Canton Zurich. A total of seventeen schools were selected by the Canton of Zurich’s Department of Upper-Secondary Education to take part in the programme until the end of 2018. The evaluation shows that these schools and their individual ‘consulting – support – guidance’ concepts are all on the right track: In each of the participating schools, early assessment of scholastic performance served as the basis for a broad range of ‘consulting – support – guidance’ measures across the entire spectrum of pupil abilities. The next step will be to consolidate achievements and conduct regular reviews of services offered by individual schools.
