Teaching and learning processes
The scientific studies as part of research field 1.2 “Learning processes and support” concern teaching and learning processes where emotions and emotional skills play a key role. They focus on emotional characteristics and processes which can support learners on their learning pathway and vocational school teachers in conveying knowledge and motivating learners.
Pedagogical and psychological approaches are used to support teaching and learning in vocational education and training. This is achieved by developing emotional skills, e.g. empathy or the ability to exercise emotional control. From an academic perspective, the research in this field is based on the principles of psychology of learning and the theoretical framework of emotional intelligence.
