Today, a delegation from Australia visited SFUVET in Zollikofen. It was led by the Minister for Skills and Training, the Hon Brendan O'Connor MP.  The discussions focused on the Swiss vocational education and training system’s key success factors, the role played by SFUVET and, above all, future collaboration.

Of particular interest was the topic of skills development and incorporating new skills in sustainability and digitization into the curricula.

During the afternoon, the Australian delegation and representatives of SFUVET were received by State Secretary Martina Hirayama at the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).

SFUVET has strong relations with Australia in the field of VET. In February, SFUVET – together with the Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN) and Movetia – organised the Future of Apprenticeships Conference in Melbourne.
