In addition to the various organisational tasks associated with commencement, SFIVET's International Relations Division handled mandates and projects in ten countries and four different continents. SFIVET's International Relations Division also received a total of 40 foreign delegations at SFIVET and lent support to the International Congress on Vocational and Professional Education and Training in Winterthur.

In addition, SFIVET's International Relations Division visited the following countries: Germany, Serbia, South Africa, Ireland, Greenland, Qatar, India, South Korea, China, Spain, Kirgizstan, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Belgium, Senegal. This reinforced SFIVET's and Switzerland's international cooperation activities, which in turn furthered implementation of the Federal Council's Strategy for International Cooperation in Vocational Education and Training.

Contacts with international organisations such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Bank and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) were also intensified. SFIVET's International Relations Division also strengthened ties with Swiss government agencies such as the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) as well as with numerous embassies and the Round Table of Vocational Schools.
