The Survey of Adult Skills is an international comparative study conducted as part of the OECD Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC). The purpose is to assess the basic skills of adults in a manner similar to that of the PISA survey conducted to assess the skills of young people. Switzerland will be taking part in this survey for the first time in 2021, joining 24 other participating countries. Several federal agencies will jointly fund the survey in Switzerland, which is under the responsibility of the Federal Statistical Office.
